About

As a wildfire intelligence specialist and analyst, I’ve amassed hands-on experience mapping forest fires in California. This expertise is grounded in a tenure as a wildland firefighter with Cal Fire, offering a unique perspective into wildfire management’s complexities.

Holding an Associate’s Degree in Watershed Resources Management from Columbia College, my academic background is robust in comprehending topography. With a Part-107 commercial drone operators license, I regularly gather field data through drone mapping, photogrammetry, and end product analysis. At Cal Poly Humboldt, I’m currently pursuing a degree in Geospatial Sciences, concentrating in Environmental Sciences and Management. This academic journey has fostered my skills in Geospatial Programming, Advanced Geospatial Modeling and Analysis, Database Design, Cartography, and web application development.

Professionally, my contributions include the development of product deliverables that promote environmental awareness for stakeholders and decision-makers. Moreover, I’ve crafted software utilities and web applications that have impacted the aerial fire intelligence industry. The key focus in my work lies on efficiently utilizing remote sensory equipment to collate and disseminate pivotal information, always prioritizing data integrity, reliability, and accuracy through automation.
